As an experienced Engineer in the HVAC sector, staying abreast of the latest standards and industry developments is crucial. With the ongoing revisions of AS 1668 affecting mechanical and natural ventilation practices, your expertise is now more valuable than ever, particularly in light of the proposed updates to minimum outdoor air calculations and the borrowed ventilation strategy. Your understanding of these changes, coupled with your involvement in significant design & construct projects, positions you to drive innovation in sustainable building design.
As part of a dynamic team, you will leverage your expertise to design and implement HVAC systems that meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and performance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive heat load calculations to determine project specifications.
Design HVAC systems using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless design-to-construction transitions.
Manage project deliverables, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to continually enhance system designs.
Skills Needed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a solid background in HVAC systems design
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and knowledge of BIM processes
In-depth understanding of heat load calculations and energy-efficient design principles.
Familiarity with Australian standards and building codes relevant to HVAC.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (RPEng) or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
